Underwater Cameras
Ordinary glass windows suffer from significant refraction and image distortion due to the high pressure, corrosion, and light attenuation in the underwater environment. The K9 and BK7 optical domes utilize a hemispherical structure, allowing optical fibers to be incident almost perpendicularly, reducing imaging problems caused by underwater refraction. They are also highly pressure-resistant, suitable for deep-water operations.
Outdoor Cameras
Outdoor cameras need to withstand rain, dust, and ultraviolet radiation. Ordinary flat glass accumulates dust and causes feedback. The K9 and BK7 optical domes provide a wide field of view and are self-cleaning. They can be used for rain and dust protection.
LiDAR Protective Housings
LiDAR and infrared sensors must withstand the impact of outdoor dust and moisture. Using the K9 and BK7 optical domes as protective housings for LiDAR or sensors allows both laser signal transmission and reception to be completed within the optical dome.
