Custom-Shaped Mirror
Coligh Optics manufactures custom-shaped optical mirrors engineered for specialized optical systems requiring non-standard geometries, compact footprints, or multi-axis beam routing. Utilizing precision CNC shaping, ultrasonic machining, and edge-polishing technologies, we fabricate elliptical, parabolic, off-axis, drilled, notched, and truncated substrates with surface accuracy up to λ/10. Combined with high-reflectivity metallic (gold, silver, aluminum) or dielectric laser coatings, our custom-shaped mirrors deliver exceptional wavefront fidelity and mechanical durability for aerospace, LiDAR, biomedical instruments, and semiconductor inspection.

FAQs
We manufacture a wide range of custom mirror geometries, including elliptical, parabolic, off-axis parabolic (OAP), toroidal, concave/convex, wedge-shaped, polygon, center-drilled, notched, and truncated flat substrates tailored to tight mechanical housing constraints.
We process various optical materials depending on thermal and mechanical requirements, including N-BK7, UV Fused Silica, Borofloat, Zerodur (ultra-low thermal expansion), optical quartz, silicon, and specialized metals like aluminum or copper.
We provide protected and enhanced metallic coatings (Protected Aluminum, Enhanced Aluminum, Protected Silver, and Protected Gold) for broad spectral coverage from UV to Far-IR, as well as high-damage-threshold dielectric coatings designed for specific laser lines and polarizations.
Using advanced interferometric testing, our custom-shaped mirrors achieve surface flatness / figure accuracy up to λ/10 at 632.8 nm (or tighter upon request) and surface quality ratings of 20-10 or 10-5 Scratch-Dig to ensure minimal wavefront distortion and scatter.
Yes. Equipped with multi-axis CNC optical grinding and ultrasonic drilling machines, we execute precise edge chamfers, counterbores, stepped edges, and mounting holes directly on the substrate to simplify alignment and mechanical assembly in your end system.
