Narrowband 717nm Optical Filter With 20nm Bandwidth Description

717/20nm Bandpass Thin Film Interference Filtes is a high-performance optical filter designed based on precision optical thin film technology

  • We use ion-assisted hard coating process, and the film thickness error is controlled at the nanometer level to ensure that the central wavelength and bandwidth are strictly controlled within +/-1nm
  • Central wavelength 712+/-1nm, FWHM 20+/-1nm, transmittance in the passband is greater than or equal to 90%, and the cutoff depth on both sides of the passband is 350-1000nm. OD>=6, which can effectively suppress stray light interference and improve system detection sensitivity.
  • The substrate material uses high-uniformity quartz JGS1, combined with hard coating technology, with excellent temperature stability and humidity resistance to avoid wavelength drift.

717/20nm Bandpass Thin Film Interference Filter Applications

  1. Industrial high-temperature melt composition analysis
    Melted steel has characteristic emission lines near 717nm, and non-target band thermal radiation noise needs to be filtered out. The 717/20nm bandpass filter can be embedded in the optical path of the online spectrometer, and with the high-temperature resistant fiber optic probe, the melt composition can be monitored in real time
  2. Environmental methane gas monitoring
    Methane has a weak absorption peak near 717nm, and a narrow-band filter is required to suppress background interference with the tunable laser absorption spectroscopy TDLAS technology. The 717/20nm bandpass filter can be installed at the receiving end of the open optical path gas sensor to filter the 717nm absorption signal and eliminate water vapor and CO₂ interference
  3. LiDAR
    The 717nm laser has better penetration in smoke than visible light, and a filter is required to suppress the sunlight background noise. This filter can cover the LiDAR receiving end, synchronize with the pulsed laser, and filter the 717nm echo signal. Improve the mapping accuracy and point cloud density under complex meteorological conditions.
  4. Astronomical observation
    Cyanide butadiene, HC₅N interstellar molecule, has an emission line at 717nm, and the cosmic background radiation needs to be filtered out. This filter can be mounted on the spectrometer entrance of the astronomical telescope and work with the CCD detector to lock the target molecule signal. Suppress the interference of the galactic background light. Improve the extraction efficiency of weak spectral signals.
