1310/30nm Bandpass Filter Laser For InGaAsp Description

The 1310/30nm laser filter, with a center wavelength of 1310+/-2nm and a half-bandwidth of 30+/-2nm, is a high-performance bandpass filter optimized for InGaAsp (indium gallium arsenic phosphide) lasers, covering the 1285–1315nm wavelength range. The center wavelength is 1310±1nm, covering the typical output range of InGaAsp lasers (1280–1330nm). The half-bandwidth of 30nm supports wavelength division multiplexing (CWDM) coarse wavelength division channels to adapt to multi-wavelength transmission requirements. In addition, the transmittance in the passband is more than 80% in the range of 1285-1315nm, minimizing the loss of optical signals. The cut-off range is divided into two sections, 200-1200nm@OD4 and 1200-1700nm@OD3, which effectively filters out residual pump light and crosstalk between adjacent channels.

1310/30nm Filter Laser For InGaAsp Applications

  1. Optical communication
1310nm is a low-dispersion window in optical fiber communication. CWDM needs to transmit multiple wavelengths (such as the 1270–1330nm band) in the same optical fiber, but signals of different wavelengths will interfere with each other, resulting in limited channel capacity. InGaAsP (indium gallium arsenide phosphide) is a common material for near-infrared lasers. It supports multi-wavelength channel multiplexing with 1310/30nm filters and is suitable for low-cost, medium- and short-distance transmission in metropolitan area networks or access networks. It can be used in access networks, metropolitan area networks and data centers of optical communication systems.
  2. Fiber optic sensing
In distributed fiber optic sensing, 1310nm laser pulses are transmitted in optical fibers, and vibrations are sensed by detecting phase changes in Rayleigh scattering signals. Based on Raman scattering, this filter can separate Stokes and Anti-Stokes light. It can be used to monitor temperature and changes in fiber optic sensing
  3. Optical coherence tomography
The 1310nm wavelength has low scattering in biological tissues, but broadband light sources such as SLD have poor coherence, which affects imaging resolution. Using a 1310/30nm filter can achieve high resolution. It can also promote cell repair, but tissue damage in the ultraviolet/infrared bands must be avoided.
  4. Spectral analysis
Gas detection requires a high-stability light source near 1310nm to avoid wavelength drift and misjudgment. The 1310/30nm filter can control the filter angle/temperature through feedback to lock the gas absorption line.
