FITC Green Fluorescence Longpass Emission Filter Set Description

Coligh manufactures Fluorescence Microscope Longpass FITC Filter Set to provide precise spectral control for fluorescence microscopy, enabling efficient excitation and signal collection of green fluorophores such as FITC, GFP, and Alexa Fluor 488. It is suitable for key applications such as immunofluorescence and live-cell imaging.

  • The excitation filter is 470/30nm, and the emission filter is longpass 515nm. Both excitation and emission sides offer a blocking depth of OD5 or higher, effectively suppressing background noise and achieving a high signal-to-noise ratio.
  • We use ion-assisted deposition and sputtered hard-coating technology to ensure strong film adhesion and excellent durability.
  • The FITC excitation and emission filters are Dia25×3.5mm, and the dichroic mirror is 36×26×1.0mm, compatible with major microscope brands such as Nikon, Olympus, Zeiss, and Leica.
  • We also capable of customizing dual band and multiband fluorescence filters.

Fluorescence Microscope Longpass FITC Filter Set Applications

  • Immunofluorescence Staining
FITC is one of the most commonly used fluorescent labels, often conjugated to antibodies. This FITC longpass filter set precisely matches the excitation and emission peaks of FITC, enabling efficient excitation and collection of green fluorescence signals while effectively blocking excitation light and background autofluorescence.
  • Live Cell Imaging
Green fluorescent protein (GFP) and its variants (such as EGFP) are the gold standard for live gene expression and protein localization studies. Although the optimal excitation peak of GFP is around 488 nm, the 470/30 nm excitation filter can effectively excite it, and the 515 nm longpass emission filter perfectly collects its emission. This makes the filter set ideal for real-time or time-lapse imaging of GFP-fusion proteins in live cells in culture dishes or chambers.
  • Microbial Detection and Environmental Monitoring
FITC is commonly used to label specific antibodies or oligonucleotide probes for detecting target bacteria, viruses, or other microorganisms in water samples, food, clinical specimens, or environmental samples. This FITC longpass filter set enables sensitive detection of green fluorescence signals, accelerating the identification and counting of target microbes.
