940nm Infrared Bandpass Laser Filter FWHM 40nm Description
The 940nm infrared laser filter (FWHM 40nm) is specially designed for near-infrared invisible light applications, with a central wavelength of 940nm+/-2nm, accurately matching the typical output of GaAlAs lasers in the near-infrared invisible light band (920-960nm). The half-bandwidth is 40+/-4nm, and the passband covers 920nm to 960nm, which is compatible with ±20nm wavelength deviation caused by temperature fluctuations or device aging of the laser. The transmittance in the passband is greater than or equal to 80%, achieving efficient transmission of light energy in the target band, and the cutoff depth outside the passband is 200-1200nm OD4, deeply filtering out visible light below 850nm and infrared stray light above 980nm, ensuring signal purity in complex light environments.

940nm Infrared Laser Filter FWHM 40nm Applications
- Security and night vision systems
Security cameras and drone night vision devices require 940nm invisible light for concealed lighting, but the infrared components in sunlight or light will interfere with the image quality. The 940/40nm bandpass filter can filter out the 850-930nm daylight infrared peak band, enhance the image contrast and signal-to-noise ratio under low illumination, and completely eliminate visible light red exposure, avoiding detection during night monitoring and improving safety. - Industrial sensing
Infrared photoelectric sensors and safety light curtains on industrial production lines need to work stably in high temperature and dusty environments, and the light source needs to be hidden to avoid interfering with workers. This filter can filter out non-940nm workshop strong light to improve detection reliability. - Biomedical
Near-infrared light therapy devices or blood oxygen detection equipment require the 940nm band to achieve deep tissue penetration, and stray light must be avoided to affect the detection accuracy. The 940/40nm optical filter suppresses ambient light interference and improves the accuracy and repeatability of blood oxygen saturation detection. At the same time, it filters out stray light in non-therapeutic bands to prevent the risk of burns caused by energy absorption by the skin surface.
