880nm Laser Line Filter FWHM 40nm Description

880nm Laser Line Filter FWHM 40nm is specially optimized for the typical output of GaAlAs laser in the near-infrared long-wave band, with a central wavelength of 880+/-2nm, a half-bandwidth of 40+/-4nm, a passband covering 860nm to 900nm, and compatible with laser wavelength drift. The transmittance in the passband is greater than or equal to 80%, achieving efficient use of light energy in the target band and reducing power loss. The cutoff depth outside the passband is 200-1200nm OD4, effectively filtering out visible light below 600nm and infrared stray light above 920nm, maintaining signal purity in complex light environments.

880nm Laser Line Filter FWHM 40nm Applications

  1. Medical laser treatment
880nm near-infrared light has a better penetration depth in biological tissues than short wavelengths and is often used for non-invasive treatment or OCT imaging, but stray light in non-treatment bands needs to be filtered out to ensure safety and accuracy. 880/40nmNIR bandpass filter can adapt to the wavelength differences of different batches of GaAlAs lasers to ensure the consistency of medical equipment output
  2. Industrial material processing
Industrial laser cutting/welding such as plastics and thin films requires long-wavelength lasers to reduce material reflection. At the same time, strong light environments in workshops such as arc light and infrared heating sources are prone to interfere with sensor signals. The 880/40nm filter can filter out infrared thermal radiation above 900nm to ensure the signal accuracy of the laser processing head or infrared sensor.
  3. Agriculture and food testing
Near-infrared spectral analysis relies on the absorption characteristics of the 880nm band, but ambient light noise will reduce detection sensitivity. This filter can filter out stray light in non-target bands, improve the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of near-infrared spectrometers, and achieve rapid non-destructive testing.
  4. Vehicle-mounted radar
Vehicle-mounted LiDAR or robot obstacle avoidance systems require long-wavelength lasers of 880nm to reduce sunlight interference, but they need to cope with the challenge of wavelength stability over a wide temperature range. This filter’s 40nm passband covers the wavelength drift of the laser over the full temperature range, ensuring all-weather detection reliability.
