8000-12000nm Antireflective Coating Silicon Optical Windows Description

8000nm-12000nm Far Infrared Anti-Reflection Coated Silicon Window Coligh manufactures is specially designed for the 8-12μm far infrared band. We use high-purity silicon as the substrate, and the surface is coated with multi-layer anti-reflection (AR) coating. By optimizing the matching of silicon substrate material and coating material, the surface reflectivity of the far infrared band is significantly reduced, and the light transmittance efficiency is increased to more than 80%.

  • This window has the characteristics of high transmittance in the far infrared. In the 8-12μm band, the transmittance is increased to more than 80%, which is suitable for weak radiation signal detection
  • We use ion beam assisted deposition (IAD) to coat the anti-reflection film to ensure high uniformity and adhesion of the coating in the far infrared band.

  1. Industrial nondestructive testing
    Defects such as cracks and pores inside metal castings will change the thermal conductivity characteristics, and non-contact detection is required through far-infrared thermal wave imaging. Ordinary windows have poor reflection loss and thermal stability, resulting in blurred images or misjudgments. This 8000-12000nm transparent window can be integrated into the front end of the thermal imager lens as an optical interface between the thermal excitation source and the detector, directly contacting the high-temperature casting at 300-600°C, avoiding the melting risk of traditional polymer windows.
  2. Astronomical observation
    Cosmic dust and low-temperature stellar radiation are mainly concentrated in the far-infrared band of 8-12um, but the temperature in the space environment fluctuates violently. This optical window can be used as a far-infrared space telescope window to ensure that weak cosmic signals are not lost
  3. Military security
    When armored vehicles are operating at night, the engine thermal radiation is easily captured by the enemy’s infrared detection system, and the window material needs to have both high transmittance and low self-thermal radiation characteristics.
