High Transmission 755nm Shortpass IR Cut Filter Description
The 755nm NIR Shortpass Optical Filter is a high-performance core optical component designed for efficient transmission of visible light while strongly blocking near-infrared light above 755nm.
- With a precise cutoff wavelength of 755 ±3nm, it effectively eliminates interference from near-infrared light above 755nm, significantly reducing unwanted NIR background noise.
- The filter offers exceptionally high average transmission >90% between 380–740nm, ensuring minimal loss of valuable visible light signals. This allows cameras, sensors, and detectors to receive the strongest possible effective signal, thereby enhancing overall system efficiency.
- The blocking range extends up to 960nm with OD≥4, completely preventing NIR contamination of the visible passband and protecting visible light detectors or camera sensors sensitive to strong near-infrared light from potential damage.
- We utilize a hard-coated process on D263T glass substrate, providing excellent coating adhesion, scratch resistance, weather durability, and thermal stability. Additionally, D263T features extremely low autofluorescence, ensuring high contrast and authenticity of target fluorescence signals.

755nm NIR Shortpass Optical Filter Applications
- Laser Protection
In applications involving 755nm lasers, such as medical aesthetics and industrial laser processing, the 755nm IR cut filter can serve as a core component in protective eyewear, observation windows, or camera protection filters. It efficiently transmits visible light, allowing clear visibility for operators or normal imaging for cameras, while strongly blocking 755nm laser light and any potential stray or reflected beams, protecting eyes or sensors from high-energy laser damage. - Biomedical Imaging
Hemoglobin has a characteristic absorption peak near 755nm. The 755nm shortpass filter can help selectively capture or analyze light signals at or below this wavelength, enhancing vascular contrast or resolving blood components based on this absorption feature. By filtering out unwanted long-wavelength infrared background in the light source or detection system, it improves the quality of signals related to hemoglobin absorption. - Industrial Machine Vision
In industrial applications such as agricultural sorting, mineral sorting, plastic recycling, and semiconductor wafer inspection, it is often necessary to distinguish materials based on their reflectance/absorption differences in the visible and NIR regions. The 755nm shortpass filter effectively blocks infrared light above 755nm, ensuring that cameras respond only to true visible signals. This results in more accurate color reproduction and image contrast, thereby improving detection precision. - Photography and Videography
In professional photography, astrophotography, and surveillance cameras, the 755nm IR cut filter can be mounted in front of the lens to block infrared light contamination. This ensures more accurate and saturated color reproduction in color camera captures and prevents color distortion caused by infrared leakage.
