650nm Infrared Filter (FWHM 20nm) is a high-performance narrow-bandpass filter designed for spectral selectivity in the near-infrared (NIR) and visible light region (630–670nm).
- Central wavelength 650+/2nm, half bandwidth 20+/-3nm, effectively covers the 630–670nm band, suitable for highly selective transmission in the near-infrared and red light intersection region.
- In the 630–670nm range, the average transmittance is >90%. It can maximize the acquisition efficiency of the target signal and reduce the power demand of the light source.
- In the 200-1200nm range, the cut-off depth OD4 significantly suppresses the interference of visible light such as green light, blue light and long-wave infrared stray light.
- Specially adapted to the deep adaptation design of the spectral response characteristics of photodetectors (such as CMOS, CCD, InGaAs sensors).

- Medical testing
In fluorescent immunoassays, background light interference leads to false positives/false negatives, and weak fluorescent signals are difficult to capture, affecting diagnostic accuracy. The 650nm bandpass filter (FWHM 20nm) effectively blocks background excitation light and other fluorescence interference, only passing through the target fluorescence band, improving image contrast and signal-to-noise ratio. - Night vision camera
In low-light environments, many security cameras or industrial cameras use infrared LED lighting, usually around 650nm. The 650/20nm filter can filter out ambient stray light and only pass through infrared light in the camera’s working band, effectively enhancing image clarity and recognition rate, especially at night. - Laser detection
If a 650nm laser source is used for positioning or analysis in a laser measuring instrument, background light interference will directly affect detection sensitivity. Using a 650/20nm optical filter to only allow 650±10nm laser light to pass can improve signal extraction efficiency and system response sensitivity.
