Dielectric 595nm Narrow Bandpass Optical Filter Description

595/22nm Narrowband Optical Filter Coligh manufactures is a high-performance optical filter specially designed for accurately selecting optical signals in the wavelength range near 595nm.

  • We use thin film interference effect to achieve selective transmission of target wavelengths through multi-layer dielectric films. The central wavelength is 595+/-1nm, covering the yellow to orange light band that the human eye is sensitive to. The half-bandwidth is 22+/-1nm, which only allows light within the range of ±11 nm centered at 595 nm to be efficiently transmitted, and strictly suppresses out-of-band stray light
  • The transmittance in the passband is greater than or equal to 90%, which can maximize signal acquisition efficiency. The cut-off depth OD>=6 in the range of 350-1000nm outside the passband can effectively suppress background noise and improve system resolution.
  • We use ultra-low autofluorescence fused quartz substrate and ion-assisted coating process for the substrate. The hard coating process enhances the density of the film layer to ensure stable performance under high temperature and high humidity environment
  • Each filter has extremely high consistency, and the passband position, bandwidth and transmittance meet the specifications. The batch consistency error is <±1 nm

595/22nm Narrowband Optical Filter Applications

  1. Fluorescence microscope imaging
In fluorescent labeling experiments, the excitation light 488 nm blue light and the emission light 595 nm yellow light of the fluorescent probe need to be strictly separated to avoid interference of the excitation light with weak fluorescent signals. The 595/22nm filter can be placed in the detection light path of the microscope and used in conjunction with a dichroic mirror. It allows the emission light near 595 nm to pass efficiently while completely blocking the 488 nm excitation light, eliminating the interference of ambient light and sample autofluorescence. It makes weak fluorescent signals clearly visible and is suitable for single molecule imaging or low-concentration labeling experiments.
  2. Machine vision
In complex background forests and at night, active illumination with a specific wavelength of 595 nm is required to enhance the recognition rate of the target. The 595/22nm narrowband filter can be used synchronously with a 595 nm infrared cutoff LED light source. The filter covers the camera sensor and only receives the 595 nm light reflected by the target. This can block wide-spectrum interference such as sunlight and car lights and highlight the target reflection signal. Improve the contrast between the target and the background
  3. Raman spectrum enhancement
The Raman scattering signal is weak, and the Rayleigh scattering of the excitation light 532 nm laser needs to be filtered out to extract the target Raman shift signal 595nm. The 595/22nm optical filter can be placed in the collection light path of the Raman spectrometer as a supplement to the edge filter to further purify the signal.
