562nm Longpass Dichroic Mirrors

The 562nm longpass dichroic mirrors is a high-performance optical component designed for precise spectral separation. It separates light at 562nm by transmitting wavelengths longer than 562nm and reflecting wavelengths shorter than 562nm, effectively eliminating spectral crosstalk.

  • We use ion-assisted deposition technology and hard coating processes to manufacture the 562nm dichroic mirror. This technique enhances the hardness and durability of the coating layers.
  • The operating wavelength range is 350–800nm, with an average transmittance of ≥90% in the 570–800nm range. The reflectance in the reflection band is ≥98%.
  • Fused silica is used as the substrate material. It offers ultra-low fluorescence background and excellent thermal stability, minimizing wavelength drift and making it highly suitable for fluorescence imaging applications.
  • We support customization of size, thickness, and shape. Dichroic mirrors covering the 415–772nm range are available in stock. Inquiries are welcome.

  • Flow Cytometry
    In flow cytometry, the 562nm dichroic mirrors can be used for PE fluorescence channel detection. PE is one of the most commonly used fluorochromes in flow cytometry, with an excitation peak at 565nm and an emission peak at 578nm. The 562nm dichroic mirror precisely separates the 488nm excitation light from the PE emission signal, avoiding channel crosstalk between PE and PerCP-Cy5.5 in multicolor detection. It reflects light below 558nm and transmits fluorescence signals above 566nm, minimizing crosstalk.
  • Two-Photon Microscopy
    In neuroscience, it is essential to capture calcium indicator signals in the 620–650nm range. However, the second harmonic (460–520nm) of the 920–1040nm excitation light may interfere with imaging. The 562nm dichroic mirrors can be placed after the objective lens in the optical path to reflect stray light below 558nm and transmit fluorescence signals above 566nm directly to the high-sensitivity PMT detector.
  • Real-Time Algal Toxin Monitoring Sensors
    Phycocyanin has a characteristic absorption peak at 562nm and requires precise extraction from complex water body reflection spectra. The 562nm dichroic mirror reflects light below 558nm, including chlorophyll interference, to a reference detector and transmits light above 566nm to an analysis detector, enabling real-time detection of algal toxins.
  • Quantum Dot Material Sorting Equipment
    In CdSe/ZnS quantum dot synthesis, separation of the 562nm unreacted precursor is needed. The reaction solution flows through a transparent detection cell. Using a 562nm laser for excitation, the dichroic mirror reflects scattered light below 558nm and transmits quantum dot fluorescence above 566nm. Based on fluorescence intensity, electromagnetic valves are controlled in real-time for sorting.
