Narrow Edge Dichroic Filter at 465.5nm Description
The 465.5nm Dichroic Filter Glass manufactured by Coligh is a high-performance optical interference filter engineered for precise spectral separation at the blue wavelength region. Utilizing hard-coated multilayer thin-film technology on high-purity fused silica,
- Cut on wavelength 465.5+/-1nm, the wavelength of the filter transitioning from the reflection area to the transmission area, the error is controlled within ±1nm, ensuring consistency and spectral accuracy.
- Transmission wavelength >465.5 nm, average transmittance of the transmission band ≥90%, which helps to maximize signal strength and improve image brightness.
- Reflection wavelength <465.5 nm, reflectance of the reflection band ≥98% effectively blocks unwanted short-wave light and improves system contrast.
- We use hard coating ion-assisted coating process, which is resistant to environmental degradation, thermal fluctuations, and high-intensity light sources.
- In addition, the fused silica substrate offers excellent thermal stability, low autofluorescence, and broad transparency from UV to near-IR.

465.5nm Dichroic Filter Glass Applications
- Biomedical imaging
The excitation wavelength of fluorescent markers Alexa Fluor 488 and FITC is often in the blue light band, such as 488nm laser excitation, and its emission wavelength is between 500-550nm. The 465.5nm dichroic filter can accurately separate the excitation light and the emission light to avoid signal crosstalk. The 65.5nm Wavelength Dichroic Mirror can be embedded in the microscope light path, installed at a 45° angle to reflect wavelengths below 465.5nm and transmit wavelengths above 465.5nm, efficiently separating the excitation light and emission light channels and reducing cross-contamination of the light path. Improve the efficiency of fluorescence signal collection while protecting the detector from damage by strong excitation light. - Multispectral laser system
Multi-wavelength laser systems such as blue light 465nm + red light 640nm need to merge or separate lasers of different wavelengths to achieve precise light path control. 465.5nm Dichroic Coated Glass can be used as a beam combiner or beam splitter to reflect 465.5nm laser and transmit long-wavelength light, realizing coaxial output of dual-wavelength lasers - Flow cytometry
Immune cell typing of multi-color fluorescent labeled samples requires different fluorescence signals to be guided to the corresponding detectors through dichroic filters. In the detection module, the 465.5nm dichroic filter is combined with the bandpass filter to construct a multi-channel optical path, reflecting the fluorescence signal below 465.5nm to the short-wave detector. Transmit the signal above 465.5nm to the long-wave detector. Realize the synchronous detection of multiple fluorescence channels to avoid spectral overlap.
