1570/10 Thin Film Bandpass Interference Filter Description

The 1570/10nm thin film interference filter is a precision optical bandpass filter using infrared sensing and laser based application.

  • The central wavelength is 1570nm+/-2nm, which accurately matches the L-band of optical fiber communication, the absorption peak of methane gas at 1572.3nm and the application requirements of laser radar.
  • The half-bandwidth is 10+/-2nm, and it transmits in the 1565-1575nm area. The extremely narrow band design effectively isolates the interference of adjacent channels.
  • The transmittance of the transmission band is greater than or equal to 90%, ensuring efficient signal transmission and reducing energy loss.
  • The ultra-wide cutoff band, with a cutoff depth of OD4 from 200-1700nk, significantly suppresses stray light interference.

1570/10 Thin Film Interference Filter Applications

  1. DWDM system
    In dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) systems, crosstalk between adjacent channels causes increased bit error rates. The 10nm bandwidth of the 1570/10nm bandpass filter accurately isolates the 1570nm channel, and the cutoff depth of OD4 suppresses interference from 1550nm and 1590nm. Improve signal transmission efficiency
  2. Methane gas detection
    Methane has a characteristic absorption peak at 1572.3nm, but ambient light noise masks weak absorption signals. The 10nm narrowband of the 1570/10nm filter matches the absorption peak to improve detection sensitivity.
  3. LiDAR
    The 1550nm laser is eye-safe but is easily affected by atmospheric scattering, limiting detection distance. The 1570nm band has stronger atmospheric penetration, and the 10nm bandwidth suppresses background noise
