1532/30nm Optical Interference Filter Laser Description

1532/30nm Interference Filter Laser is a hard coated optical bandpass filter design for HeNe infrared laser system.

  • The central wavelength is 1532+/-2nm, which is optimized for HeNe infrared laser 1530-1540nm and accurately matches the target wavelength requirements.
  • The half bandwidth is 30+/-2nm, covering the range of 1517–1547nm, and is compatible with laser wavelength drift and multi-mode working scenarios.
  • The transmittance in the passband is greater than 80%, which can maximize the utilization of optical power.
  • There are two cut-off bands outside the passband, with a cut-off depth of OD4 in the range of 200-1200nm and a cut-off depth of OD3 in the range of 1200-1700nm, which effectively isolates HeNe laser stray light such as visible light 632.8nm and infrared sub-wavelengths.

1532/30nm Interference Filter LaserApplications

  1. Optical communication system
    1532nm is located in the low-loss window of optical fiber, namely the C band. 1530/30nm interference filters can be used for channel selection or noise suppression in wavelength division multiplexing DWDM systems. Theoretically, the 30nm bandwidth can cover about 6-12 channels. This filter can be used for multi-channel merging or separation in coarse wavelength division multiplexing CWDM systems.
  2. Pump laser
    In erbium-doped fiber amplifiers, the back reflection noise of 980nm or 1480nm pump lasers may interfere with the signal band. 1532/30nm filters can be placed in the signal path to filter out stray light other than the pump wavelength.
  3. Fluorescence imaging
    In in vivo fluorescence imaging, 1532nm filters can block excitation light such as Rayleigh scattering of 785nm and 980nm, and 1532/30nm filters can allow only fluorescence signals to pass.
  4. Industrial laser processing
    Silicon has a low absorption rate near 1550nm, but precision processing can be achieved through nonlinear absorption of femtosecond lasers. The 1532/30nm filter is used to ensure that the laser wavelength is stable within the processing window, prevent the wavelength shift caused by temperature drift of the laser, and avoid processing defects.
