10600/450nm Far Infrared Filters
10600/450nm Far Infrared Filters are IR bandpass Filters which transmit 10375nm to 10825nm. Coligh manufactures high quality FIR filters up to 30000nm.
- Far infrared center wavelength 10600nm
- Bandwidth 450nm
- Transmittance>=75%
- Cut-off depth T<=1%
10600/450nm Far Infrared Filters Description
Coligh’s 10600/450nm Far Infrared Filters use high and low refractive index materials and interference effects to select specific wavelengths for transmission. The center wavelength of this filter is 10600nm, and the transmittance is >=75% in the range of 10375-10825nm. It blocks other wavelengths by allowing light in the range of 10600+/-200nm to pass through. The cutoff depth in the range of 400-120000nm is T<=1%, forming an efficient cutoff depth from visible light to near infrared to far infrared. It is very suitable for CO2 laser systems and wide-spectrum thermal imaging.

10600/450nm Far Infrared Filters Applications
The 10600/450nm filter (central wavelength 10.6 μm, bandwidth 450 nm) is designed for the far infrared band and plays an important role in many application fields.
- CO₂ laser system
The 10600/450nm far infrared filter allows 10,375–10,825 nm lasers to pass through by precisely controlling the laser wavelength, filtering out stray light and isolating interference signals. It can be used for metal sheet cutting, precision welding of aerospace components, etc. - Infrared thermal imaging
By cutting off visible light and near-infrared interference (such as sunlight reflection), only 10–11 μm thermal radiation signals are retained, improving imaging contrast and target recognition capabilities. It can be used for drone reconnaissance, power equipment or chemical pipeline thermal leakage monitoring - Gas detection and environmental monitoring
Industrial waste gas contains volatile organic compounds (VOCs) with C-H bonds, such as methane (CH₄) and benzene (C₆H₆). Chemical plants use infrared spectrometers with this filter to monitor the VOC concentration of chimney emissions in real time.
