630/8nm Red Light Optical Bandpass Interference Filter Description
630/8nm Red Light Bandpass Filter is an optical filter designed for high-precision red light signal extraction.
- Central wavelength 630+/-2nm, suitable for the emission spectrum of deep red fluorescent dye Cy5, Alexa Fluor 647, and helium-neon laser 632.8nm.
- Half bandwidth 8+/-2nm, effectively isolates adjacent wavelength interference, suitable for multi-channel fluorescence detection or high-resolution spectral analysis
- The transmittance of 630+/-4nm in the passband is greater than or equal to 75%, and the cut-off depth is OD5 in the range of 200-1100nm, which can maximize the target signal intensity while strongly suppressing excitation light leakage, infrared noise and ambient stray light.

630/8nm Red Light Bandpass Filter Applications
- Deep red fluorescence imaging
In in vivo imaging or multicolor fluorescence experiments, the emission peak of Cy5 is about 670nm, and the emission peak of Alexa Fluor 647 is about 668nm. The deep red signals of Cy5 and Alexa Fluor 647 are easily interfered by short-wavelength excitation light or other fluorescence channels, resulting in blurred deep tissue imaging or signal loss. The 630/8nm narrowband filter can accurately separate the signal and efficiently capture the deep red fluorescence signal by passing through the 630nm central wavelength and 8nm narrow bandwidth. - Industrial laser processing monitoring
During laser welding or cutting, the 630nm thermal radiation signal of the molten pool is easily submerged by strong laser or ambient light, and traditional detection methods are difficult to monitor processing defects in real time. The 630/8nm narrowband filter can accurately capture the 630nm thermal radiation signal through a narrow bandpass design, suppressing the interference of the laser main wavelength and ambient light. - Astronomical observation
The iron oxide minerals or interstellar dust on the surface of Mars have characteristic reflection spectra around 630nm, but the scattering of the Earth’s atmosphere and the continuous spectrum of stars will reduce the observation contrast. The 630/8nm filter can isolate the target reflection signal and improve the imaging clarity of the planetary surface composition or dust distribution. It can also be used with other filters to study the physical and chemical properties of astronomical bodies.
