Hard-Coated 551/22nm Interference Bandpass Filter Description
551/22nm bandpass filter is a high-performance optical filter based on multilayer thin film interference technology. It can accurately transmit narrowband optical signals with a central wavelength of 551nm and a bandwidth of 22nm, while efficiently blocking other bands of ultraviolet, visible light and near-infrared stray light.
- It has precise wavelength control, a central wavelength of 551+/-1nm, and a half-bandwidth of 22+/-1nm, meeting the needs of high-resolution spectral separation.
- The transmittance in the passband is greater than or equal to 90%, maximizing the target signal intensity, suitable for weak light detection scenarios
- The cut-off depth OD>=5 in the range of 350-1000nm outside the passband significantly reduces background noise interference.
- We use fused quartz as the substrate. Fused quartz has the characteristics of low thermal expansion coefficient and is suitable for wide spectrum from ultraviolet to near-infrared. In addition to fused quartz, other high-performance optical glasses can also be selected as substrates, such as B270 K9, etc., which are the first choice for conventional laboratories and industrial scenarios.
- We use ion-assisted deposition technology to significantly enhance the density and adhesion of the film layer and improve the stability of the environment.

551/22nm Band Pass Optical Filter Applications
- In vivo bioluminescence imaging
The excitation light of the near-infrared second-zone fluorescent probe is usually 550nm. It is necessary to accurately separate the excitation light and the probe emission light. The 551/22nm bandpass filter can be placed in the excitation light path to filter the 551nm excitation light output by the laser to prevent stray light from interfering with the detector. This can improve the penetration depth and resolution of in vivo tumor imaging and support precise intraoperative navigation. - Industrial machine vision
The tiny scratches or oxide layers on the metal surface show high-contrast reflection differences under the 551nm light source. The 551/22nm narrowband filter can be integrated in front of the lens of a high-speed industrial camera and combined with a 551nm LED array to form a monochrome imaging system. This can achieve defect recognition accuracy of micron level and reduce the scrap rate in the manufacturing industry - Environmental NO₂ gas monitoring
Nitrogen dioxide has a characteristic absorption peak in the 550-560nm band and requires a narrowband filter to match the spectrometer for detection. The 551/22nm filter can be embedded in the optical path of the UV-visible spectrometer and work with the xenon light source to extract the NO₂ absorption signal. - LiDAR
The 551nm wavelength laser has weak scattering in rain and fog, and a filter is needed to suppress the 550-560nm sunlight background noise. The 551/22nm optical filter can be covered on the LiDAR receiving end, synchronized with the pulsed laser, filter the echo signal, and improve the obstacle recognition reliability of autonomous driving vehicles in rainy and snowy weather.
